Dinner tonight. BBQ’d Sirloin Steak with a few mesquite chips tossed on the charcoal briquettes for a smoky, “cowboy” flavor. Served with a Bleu Cheese Wedge Salad. Fresh chopped tomatoes. Crispy bacon. Gluten-free bleu cheese dressing.

The patio at our condo is small but it’s large enough for a few chairs, a tiny round table and a small bbq. The necessities of life.

I like to marinate the steak if I remember in time so last night while I was preparing the broccoli and beef, I took the remainder of the sirloin and put it in a zipper bag with a few ounces of italian dressing and a few tablespoons of worcestershire sauce. The vinegar in the dressing helps soften the meat and the herbs and seasonings give a nice flavor whether you BBQ, broil, bake, or fry it.

A delicious and satisfying meal. Maximum flavor + minimal effort = dinner perfection.
